1. You must remove the 3 screws from the back of the radio. There is 1 screw in the back and there are 2 in the battery compartment.
2. Remove the back cover and you'll see the circuit board. Remove the 3 screws which are holding the top board to the bottom circuit board.
3. After the screws are removed gently seperate the two circuit boards by pulling them apart.
4. You now have access to the bottom board , you will now see a small blck rectangle chip with 14 brass pins.
with the radio speaker facing to your RIGHT carefully either bend or cut the pin at the bottom of the left row on the rectangular chip.
I suggest snipping the pin completely off to eliminate the possibility of accidental contact that will stop the box sweep.
