RS 20-125 HACK INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Remove the 3 screws from the back of the radio

2.  Remove the battery cover, place a piece of scotch tape over the buttons on the side of the radio to prevent there coming off when you remove the back cover these can be a pain to put back.

3. Remove the back cover be careful not to let anything you may be using to pry it loose such as the screw driver to slip inside the radio and possibly damage the circuit board accidently.

4. Once the cover is removed you will see the top board exposed with the LCD screen.  You will not have to touch the bottom board.

5. You will see two gray clips on the top and the bottom that are holding the top board in place.

6. Carefully push the clips back and the top board can be moved to one side easily.

7. Underneath the top board you will see a gray wire ribbon. Directly on the top of the board you will see written designations for each of the individual wires in the gray ribbon.  What you need to look for the letters MU in that list it coincides with the 7th wire from the top.

8. Locate the wire going to the MU designation in the gray ribbon on the opposite side of the board, you will need to use a straight razoror an exacto knife to cut the plastic on either side of the 7th MU wire, this will enable you to get a small scissor in to snip this single wire.

Snip the correct wire, I like to remove a small section of the wire so there is no possibility of an accidental connection once the box is reassembled.

9. Carefully place the circuit board back until it snaps into the 4 gray clips and then replace the back cover, put the three screws back in, place your batteries in and your ready to go!

The 20-125 Ghost Box Hack is now complete. Turn the box on and select your band either AM or FM, I prefer AM due to the fact that it is less cluttered and made up of mostly talk signal as aposed to music and singing.

Press either the up or down tunning buttons and hold until the box begins to sweep.

Good luck and great communication.
